Rosemary and lemon should run away and elope. The combination is divine. Not sure if it’s the sunshine (hi Spring!) or the fact that I’m rereading Ira Levin’s Rosemary’s Baby (so much yellow in that book), but earlier this week when I baked a baked a cake– the only ingredients in mind were a little jar of herbs and the bowl of lemons by my stove.
How rewarding is it to create things? Even edible, small things. This time around, I ran out of practically everything but all-purpose flour. Still, the end result was well worth the time and Frankenstein assembly. Also my kitchen lights aren’t working. Shamelessly, I’m here to brag about a cake baked with literally everything I could find including makeshift light sources (string lights, taper candles).
