Fremont Street, the first-ever paved street in the city, was my favorite part of our trip. It was debauchery away from the strip and somehow better. Less Calvin Harris Billboards. (Read as: none.)
WHAT TO DO: The Mob Museum and Neon museum are nearby, but didn’t make it. We went to nickel beer night at The Beauty Bar, saw Rey Pila perform at Bunkhouse Saloon, gambled in seedy casinos, ate the best tacos literally ever at Pinches Tacos in Container Park, had cocktails at Park On Freemont, more drinks at Atomic Liquor, and befriended the bouncer, a street musician, and our cab driver.
